Sapphire plays first. You play Ivory against the computer.
Rules and controls
American/English checkers: Sapphire moves first, on dark squares. Men move and capture one diagonal forward; kings move and capture one diagonal in either direction. Captures are compulsory, but you may choose any available capture. Continue consecutive jumps with the same piece. Reaching the last row crowns a king and ends the turn. Win when the opponent has no pieces or no legal moves. Threefold repetition or 40 moves each without a capture or a man advancing is an automatic draw in this edition. Untimed local play; no remote multiplayer.
Highlighted squares show legal destinations. Both players share this device in local mode. Choose a new game to change modes. The illustrated view uses images rendered from the same original models and needs less graphics power.
